Kwon Sang In 권상인

Lots and lots of pots line Kwon Sang In’s shelves in her office at Kyungsung University in Busan. Lots and lots of pots are on the shelves in her apartment and still more pots are in her studio. Its the hallmark of an active artist with a lot of ideas. Her interest in ceramic art was encouraged by her family and after undergraduate study in Korea she studied for 3 years in Spain and then in Japan before returning to Busan and starting on her teaching career. After a number of years as a ceramic artist and professor she returned to Japan to get a Ph.D. in the history of art specializing in the ceramic history of Asia. As if this wasn’t enough to occupy her time she has recently joined in opening a high end gallery featuring international artists.
